Volunteers - help wanted

Do you want to see an exciting cross country ski race first hand and from the inside?
Watch the best skiers in the province up close, climbing vertical walls, or racing down them?
Or watch the midgets, or the paranordic skiers?

Then please volunteer to help as a race official at the Ontario Cup ski race at Highlands Nordic in Duntroon on Sat-Sun January 14-15.
Come either day or both – we need people to be course controllers and marshalls.
We will train you.
We will feed you.
You do not have to ski the race course – all volunteers wear boots.
The race is organized by the Highlands Trailblazers Ski Club, which many Guelph and Eden Mills Nordic Ski Club members have also belonged to.
It is part of the Cross Country Ontario race calendar.

Saturday races are individual start classic technique, all categories, and start at 9 am.
Sunday races are pursuit start, free technique, and start at 830 am.
Racers’ start time on Sunday depends on their Saturday result - fastest skier on Saturday goes out first on Sunday. Everybody else tries to catch him/her.

Sound like fun?
