About Us

Guelph Cross-Country Skiing

The Eden Mills Jackrabbit Ski Club started in 1994 on trails in Eden Mills. About 10 years ago we relocated to the present location South of Guelph. Although the focus has always centred on skiing for children and the Jackrabbit program, we changed the name to Eden Mills Nordic Ski Club to let adults know that they are welcome to join as well.

Eden Mills Nordic  offers Jackrabbit ski classes for children and groomed trails for use by adult members. Our mission is to help children learn and enjoy cross-country skiing in a safe and supportive environment. Our coaches are volunteers certified by Cross Country Canada, and our trails are located in Puslinch township. The trails offer a wide range of skiing challenges for beginning and advanced skiers. Some members participate in organized ski events throughout Ontario and some former "rabbits" have joined competitive ski teams, racing at high school, university, Cross Country Canada and international races.

Winter 2024 will be the 31st year for the Eden Mills Nordic learn-to-ski program for children. We play lots of games while learning good cross-country ski technique based on the Jackrabbit program of Cross Country Canada. In addition to classes for 5 to 12 year-old kids we offer a Royal Rabbit program for 13 to 16 year-old youth. We also offer drop-in lessons for adults. Our Ski Club is non-profit, entirely volunteer-run, and belongs to Cross Country Canada.
