Code of Conduct

Our ski club is a community and as such we must work together to ensure that all members are able to enjoy the trails.

We expect members to adhere to the following Code of Conduct:

  • Absolutely no walking in shoes or boots on trails; no dogs are permitted πŸ™€πŸ˜Ύ
  • Most trails are one-way. Please keep to groomed trails and ski in the specified direction -- observe the signs and/or see the map for direction arrows ⟹
  • Respect the skiing technique for the trail you are using - i.e. try not to skate over prepared classic tracks, and try to classic ski beside the skate lane
  • Keep to your left when passing other skiers πŸ‘ˆ
  • Yield to faster skiers
  • Do not damage trees, shrubs, etc.
  • Do not block the trails or stop where you could be in the way of other skiers, especially at the bottom of hills. πŸ’₯πŸ’₯
  • Ski within your abilities, in particular on downhills
  • Do not ski in thaw or rainy weather when the trail is soft and your skis create deep ruts. When they freeze again, these ruts can be very difficult to groom out and make skiing difficult or dangerous for others  πŸ˜’
  • It is okay to ski on new, fresh powder snow before groomingπŸ˜„
